Dell PERC 6/i Integrated RAID Controller 0 Raid5Array: Degraded
Dear Sir
Can anyone shed a bit of light on this.
I have a T610 Poweredge with the following 3 physical 15k hard drives:
Physical Disk 0:0:2 |
Failed |
272.25 GB |
Physical Disk 0:0:1 |
Online |
272.25 GB |
Physical Disk 0:0:0 |
Online |
272.25 GB |
I ran a Dset test and it came up with: Raid5Array: Degraded
How can I convert this Raid 5 to Raid 0?
Thanks
Russ

Hello.
RAID 5 Array is in a degraded state Physical Disk 0:0:2 is failed. Yes, the PERC 6/i controller supports RAID level migration from RAID 5 to RAID 0 by the use of Re-configure option. Using OpenManage Server Adminstrator (OMSA) go to Storage -> PERC 6/i Controller -> Virtual Disks and choose your RAID 5 Array. Under the Available Tasks in the drop down list, choose Reconfigure and Execute. On the next page, select RAID 0 and proceed.
Ensure that the failed drive is replaced before performing this migration.
