Does a Perc H310 support simultaneously SATA and SAS drives?
Hi,
I plan to build a workstation Precision T3600 but I doubt that my setup can be done.
Array1 = raid1 = 2X 256GB,SSD SATA
Array2 = raid2 = 2X 900GB,SAS,2.5",10k
Does somebody can confirm that it can be done?
Thanks!

Yes, this will work. The H310 supports mixing SATA/SAS/SSD as long as each Virtual Disk (array) uses only one technology. For example, you cannot create a RAID array with a SAS drive and a SATA drive; and you cannot create a RAID array with a SATA HDD and a SATA SSD, etc. (I don't know who would do either of those anyway.)
From the H310 manual:
NOTE: Mixing SAS and SATA drives within a virtual disk is not supported. Also, mixing hard drives and SSDs within a virtual disk is not supported.

(I'm assuming the 'RAID 2' was a typo and was intended to read 'RAID 1'.)

Great, you rock!
I looked in the datasheet but was not finding the answer. (for the raid2, yes it's a typo)
Thank you!
