E1211 ROMB battery failure
Hi guys...first time here. Anyway I have PowerEdge 1950 for my personal lab that I recently pickuped used....Works fine except for E1211 on the Perc 5i. I have replaced the battery, its cable and have upgraded the firmware. to 5.2.2. System BIOS is lastest (2.7.0 I believe)..Problem has not been mitigated. Anyone got any ideas? Is the Perc 5i toast?

Probably. It is the PERC that handles battery monitoring and charging, so if you have replaced the battery (AND cable) and updated the PERC firmware (which controls the monitoring/charging algorithms), then the PERC should be the next part to replace. The PERC 5 should be pretty cheap on places like eBay by now.
BTW ... did you also update the ESM/BMC with the BIOS and PERC firmware?
