Expand raid5 poweredge 720xd vmware esxi 5.1

Hello.

Im need to expand an existing 11 disk raid from 2tb disk to 4tb disks the last disk nr 12 as hotspare.

We have an perc 710 mini in the server.

Is it possible to expand the existing raid from 2tb disks with 4tb? And how long will it take approximately?

We are running vmware esxi 5.1 on the server how will esxi 5.1 react to the new volyme? Can i just refresh and it will se the expanded raid set or do i have to reboot the server?
