H700 Battery fail filling log
The hardware log fills up saying the battery is good, and the battery has failed. My question is about changing the battery. Is the battery holding the raid config? This server is in production and I can turn it off, but I do not want to loose the raid config. I have the p/n as NU209, and was wondering if it is a simple as turning off the server, and plugging in the new batter?

Hello.
The PERC battery holds the RAID data cache and it is recommended that the server be powered down before this battery can be replaced to preserve the cache. It is as seemless as this! You can clear the system event logs within the iDRAC.
