Installing MD3000 in Windows 2003 and Ubuntu 10.04 on a PE2850

Does anyone have a link to instructions on installing a MD3000 in Windows 2003 and Ubuntu 10.04?

My guest is:

Windows 2003 SP2

1. Install the SAS 5/E driver or whatever controller you have
2. Install the MDSM (Modular Disk Storage Manager)
3. In the MDSM

1. Create a new host to the HBA (Windows Non-cluster)
2. Create a new virtual disk
3. Give the host access to the disk

• Reboot the server
• In th server manager under storage go through the wizard the setup the new drive

Ubuntu 10.04 (Linux)

1. On a workstation (2000, XP, 2003 or Windows 7) in the MDSM

1. Create a new host to the HBA (Linux)
2. Create a new virtual disk
3. Give the host access to the disk

• Reboot the server
