Need to increase total HDD capacity on T710 server
We have a T710 with 8-300GB HDD's running in RAID5 configuration with a global hot spare. We are also running the latest VmWare platform. We need to increase our HDD capacity as our datastore is almost full. I was thinking 8-1 TB HDD's.....what is the proper way to proceed with this?
Thank you

Hi,
The best way is to backup, create a new virtual disk with all of the new drives and restore.

Is vmware installed on the drives or on some other media?

Thanks Josh....can you give me a little more information as to where I can find how to create a backup of the current virtual disk? I am backing up all data to both virtual servers on Carbonite right now, but I suspect there is more to it than that....
