New HDD for Poweredge T410
I have a Poweredge T410 and one of the hard drives is reporting a non-critical error. I'm concerned that eventually it's going to fail (it's at least 4 years old now) and I want to know what replacement drives I can use. For some reason, something I read gave me the impression that it had to be an exact match. The existing drive is a SAMSUNG HE502HJ. Is it possible to just swap it out with any 500-gig SATA drive? Or does it have to be that exact one? Thanks.

Hello.
The replacement hard drive ought to be of the same specifications as in connection type, capacity and speed like the originl SAMSUNG HE502HJ. Hence 500GB or higher, Extensible SATA (ES) connection type, 7.2K speed (RPM) or higher and 3.5" Hard Drive.
