Perc H730P in R730, Mix SATA/SAS and SSD

When configuring a purchase, it states: "SATA HDD, SATA SSD, SAS HDD and SAS SSD Hard Drives cannot be combined. If selecting one of these options, make sure that all drives are of the same type."

Is this accurate?

I would like to configure 6 SATA Non-SSD for one RAID5 volume, and use 2 SSD for a RAID1 volume

Typically you can mix disk types as long as they are not in the same array. The low-end controllers may not handle differing drive types, but you should only be looking at the H730 anyway. If that controller doesn't let you configure the disks you want, then contact your TAM/Sales Rep and have them configure it how you want.

I have the same issue today. Any answers?

Thanks.
