Perc2/DC

 Does the Perc2/dc in a Poweredge 6450 (quad 700) support "INT13 extensions?"

Hi,

The Perc 2/dc which came installed in a PowerEdge 6400 does support the INT13 extensions. The only Perc which does not support the INT13 extensions is the original Perc (known as the Perc II).

Documentation for the Perc 2/dc can be found here:

Hi,

The INT13 extensions are mentioned specifically in this link (in the PERC 2/DC BIOS section):

The problem you are experiencing is not due to the INT13 extensions. Some versions of the Dell OpenManage Server Assistant CD (DOSA) had a maximum size for installing on a ~7.8Gb partition (due to support for NT 4.0). Other versions defaulted to this size, but you could override this setting. The latest versions have no limitation.

The latest revision of the OpenManage Applications is part number 310-0399. Dell spare parts can be reached by phone at 1-800-357-3355.

Can you tell me where in this manual it is mentioned?

Does it have to be enabled somewhere in the menu?

What steps are required to create a Win2000 boot partition greater than 7.8 GB with this controller?

I created one (4 drive) RAID 5 array with 2 logical drives. The first logical drive was given 80GB and Windows 2000 installed using the OpenManage Server Assistant. It only shows as 7,789,338,624 bytes (7.25 GB) in the Drive C: properties.
