PowerEdge 2950 with PERC 6/i - issue under install no hdd found
Hi i just got a server used...
Im want to install windows 2003 x64 because it have more then 4gb ram.
So i begin du create the VD and so on but get stuck when i want to install the OS - because it cant see the Hdd
The info is:
PowerEdge 2950 with a PERC 6/i
Package version 6.0.2-0002
Bios: NT13-2
I want to update the firmware but how do i do that?
The driver i found on dell hp. is this one

Not sure why it gave me 7.2 when I selected 2003x64, but the last version that specifically mentions 2003x64 is 6.5:

Be sure to follow the Installation Instructions found on the download page for each ISO.

Might be the same file, but it is not a Dell download ... be wary of non-Dell downloads (even if it is an EDU ... EDU sites are not always monitored internally).
Actually, it is not the same ... that link is for 6.5.0 ... the one I linked is 6.5.3 ... sometimes those x.x.something sub-versions can be for only a small number of systems, so while 6.5.0 might work, it might only be for a few systems (perhaps not even for a 2950).

ok i download SSU v7.2 and try the older driver in meanwhile

What the fastest way to upgrade the drivers and firmware? running the SUU 7.2?

nice i download that version - it contain the lasted updates firmware and driver that work under windows 2003 x64
