Hi Team,

I FIXED IT:

SOLUTION/RESOLUTION:

When I opened the server up, the battery was still charging the PERC i/6.

What I did was first carefully remove/replace the battery on the controller and only reseat the battery itself.

I held down the power button 20 seconds with the battery removed from system and then 20 seconds after the new battery was applied.

Turned on the server to notice it found the adapter (got a message in POST it was recovered but cached data was lost)

Press any key to continue or C to load configuration utility

Pressed any button, it reloaded the same prompt then kicked over to the configuration utility. No option was found that would allow me to load the configuration as needed. It was only letting me delete VD in the controller options. I figured, a recharge may just need the POST to reload, so I took the chance and just rebooted (Mind you the system FORCED ME to power off physically even though the REBOOT CNTRL ALT DEL was on screen.)

When I loaded it HDD Bay 0 flashed first then the other drives, I did get the amber light again.

The reload of the POST didn't show those errors 2nd time around.
I reloaded everything with post to see if it was taking the old configuration and it loaded happily again.

That was magical! Crazy adrenline rush here guys..sorry.... and it loaded everything back to working order as expected.

That's how I fixed this. Thank you for being a vector for my troubleshooting!

FIXED/SOLUTION/RESOLVED:

STEPS TAKEN TO FIX:

1.Power off machine
2. Found Battery was still giving a charge in machine, carefully removed bad battery and added new battery which was reseated. I also held down the power button after I took the bad battery out of server.

3.Plugged back in as the original setup was.

4.Let the POST with adapter recover [Which was stated in POST loading warning, I had the option to press any key or C to load configuration)

5.Pressed any key and it repeated the prompt to load configuration 2x, then auto went to menu.

6.Only option given was to DELETE VD which I didn't want to do. I couldnt import FOREIGN VD as that wasn't an option.

7.Decided since RAID CONTROLLER RECOVERED BUT SAID CACHED DATA WAS LOST, I decided to reload the POST with a simple reboot to see if now the regular setting would come back up.

8.System reloaded as expected and now the server is working fine with no amber lights.

Thank you everyone, hope this helps others in my situation with RAID CNTRLR ISSUES.
