Promise Vtrak15100 + Poweredge 6300
So i have been trying unsuccessfully to configure a vtrak 15100 to work with a poweredge 6300 using an adaptec perc 2 raid card. I am connecting the storage array to some availible VHDCI ports on the back. I have tried with hardware terminators and without to no avail. I can only assume it's a configuration error on the adaptec at this point since i've retooled the array in almost any concievable fashion.
Basically I am looking for advice on setting up direct attached storage to a 6300. I am connecting an ultra2 VHDCI to a 6300 with perc2 raid.
Any help at all would be appreciated.

Matt,
The PERC 2 controller is a 80 MB/s controller, you might try updating the firmware on the controller to the latest on the Dell support site. If that will not work, you might pick up an old PV200/, PV210, or newer external SCSI array on an aution site.

Oh BTW if you update the F/W on the controller you also need to update the driver to the matching version. and if you want to update the ESM and BIOS on the server, do the ESM first...
