R240 drive tray screws
I recently got a PowerEdge R240 with 2x third-party drives. I plan to replace the 1x drive already in the server and have swapped that out with no trouble. The second one stumps me because it appears that the 3x empty drive trays don't come with any screws! I exhuasted my search, but did find the part number of the drive tray is 0VCHJ6. Only want to install a standard 3.5" form factor drive! Does anyone know where I can find the screws for this please? Thanks in advance :)

Hello
If you ordered the system with a single drive then the other trays are blank inserts. Drive carriers are sold with drives in a kit. We do not sell carriers without a drive.
Thanks

Thanks for your reply. The system did come with one drive.
These blank inserts you speak of are identical (even in part number) to the carrier that comes with the drive, just without screws (and a drive obviously). Why would you include empty carriers then if they weren't usable?

The blank inserts should not be the same as a normal drive carrier. I'm not sure why you have extra carriers, I would guess that you purchased the system used or from a reseller that may have changed the original shipping configuration.
I think the screws that are used are normal hard drive screws that would typically come with a drive. The part number for the screws is G937K. I don't have them listed as an item that we sell.

Thanks for your reply. The server was bought brand new from a local reputable distributor. The part number is the server was CHRH4. In the end I tried some spare screws I had leftover from a dead NAS drive, worked a treat.
