R410 Disk 0 showing as foreign device ERROR Code: 0xc
Disk 0 failed to boot into the OS. Now I can see it but it is showing as a foreign device. Disk 1 is showing missing as it had failed also. When I try to import the foreign device it fails and with an Error code: 0xc
I am working in the PERC 6i BIOS Config Utility to bring this back into the array and back online. My only other option is to Clear the foreign config.
Will this wipe the OS? What is the best course of action?

Hello
If the controller firmware is not at the most current revision then update it and try the import again. If the import still fails at the most current firmware revision then your only option is to perform a retag of the array. If the data is important and you don't have a valid tested backup then you should contact a data recovery company. Any failed attempt to recover the data could cause it to be more difficult to recover.
Clearing the foreign configuration will not delete the data on the drives. It will delete the metadata tags that define the array off of the drives. The data will still be present, but the drives will go to a ready state and not show as being part of a virtual disk.
If you want to attempt a retag then you should write down all of your array configuration or take screen shots. You will clear the foreign configuration, recreate the array with the same settings, offline any drives that were failed or offline before the array failed, and then try to boot the system back up. I have written several in-depth explanations of retagging on these forums. Search for them if you want more info on the process.
Thanks
