R710 PERC 6 showing “Failed”

Hi, I just bought an R710 server and a PERC 6 (installed it on my own), the problem is that when I access the RAID configuration it shows the disk and the status is "Failed", it could be that they sent me a defective disk? Or can it be due to something else?
