SAS - Serial Attached SCSI

Why change from U320.  What does this really give us?

It gives more bandwidth per drive (U320 is a theoretical 320MB/s for all drives combined on the bus (modern scsi drives can do more than 80MB/s sustained (Seagate even says they can do 125MB/s sustained (see here)), so putting more than 4 drives on a bus means your bandwidth becomes a bottleneck.
