SED storage - PowerEdge T430 problems
Morning people, I 'm having a problem trying to setup / encrypt the Dell self encrypting disk (SED) in our T430 server. I've setup key management in the PERC. I'm just not able to invoke encryption no matter what options I try. I've even put a second SED in another slot giving me two SED drives and tried creating a RAID1 - still unable to set encryption. I've spoken to our local Dell support for help and looked at very short (and as it turns out not very helpful) document on SED encryption.
I'm running a PowerEdge T430 with a PERC H730

Hello.
I haven't done this myself though. See pages 93 -96 of the H730 controller Users' guide for more information on Key Security and SED: https://topics-cdn.dell.com/pdf/poweredge-rc-h730p_User's%20Guide_en-us.pdf
