Server raid 1 and disk sata 2 and 3?

Hello,

I have a query to see if anyone can help me. I have a Dell Power Edge 1950 in raid 1 with 2 sata disks February 2 TB. It turns out that I made you lose one disk and look in the shops and can not find sata disk 2, so it is equal to 2 discs.

What implications or problems if you have placed a sata 3 in place of that fact to lose?

The idea is to continue operating in a raid team.

Thanks for your time and help.

I'm not sure I understand your question at all, but if you are asking if it is ok to replace a failed SATA2 (SATAII) disk with a SATA3 (SATAIII) disk, then yes, it should work fine, although the drive will not work at full speed (6Gbps/SATA3) ... it will only work at (3Gbps/SATA2) speed.

I want to do is leave a disk with sata sata 2 and another 3 on the team in raid 1.

Not if it affects the operation of the machine?
