Swap drives between 2650 and 1600
Can anyone verify that there would be no problem removing the hard drives from a 2650 with hot swap drives to a 1600 without hot swap by removing the drives from the hot swap trays and connecting them with the standard SCSI cable? I don't anticipate any issues, but want to be sure before making my next purchase. Thanks.

Hi,
The hard drives from a PowerEdge 2650 are not compatible with a standard Scsi cable. Hot-Swap style drives have a 80pin connection, while non hot-swap use a 68 pin data connection plus a 4 pin power connection.
