Update SAS Drive Firmware through ESX Server 3.5
Is there any way to update the drive firmware through ESX Server 3.5?
I tried but get this error "This Update Package is not compatible with your system configuration."
Any help appreciated.

You can't update any drive firmware through any OS.
The package Dell provides creates a bootable CD, from which the drive firmware is updated.

Here is the 5.5 version of the update ISO from Dell. This is for most modern Poweredge servers. For the exact list select the ISO and on that page expand the compatibility section. It lists several OSes, but should be OS independent as you can boot to this ISO (once you burn it as an image or mount it via the DRAC).

This package is a utility which will create the bootable CD.
