eod76 and "error!!! adapter malfunctioning" message on boot up

Dell poweredge 2850 / raid 5

all the drives are green in startup

 

gets thru bios really slow then right after the LSI logic corp MPTBios

 

MPTBIOS 5.06.06

 

displays message on screen "error !!! adapter malfunctioning"

 

led above power button reads e0d76 error

BP drive 2

 

any suggestions?

Not sure on the error message, but the riser may need to be replaced. Also looks like a hard disk has failed, specifically HDD 2. Any orange lights on the disks?

When did the system begin to fail?  Did you flash the firmware on the SAS5/iR controller?  Can you provide additional configuration information?

The 2850 doesn't have or support a SAS 5/iR.
