pe 4400 newbee start-up messages and basic questions

absolutely new to thhis machine with no experience with serves or RAID--( planning to goog around with creating a cluster)

any pointers to literature etc really is appreciated or newsgroup

i get my machine tag fcmng01
to boot up only with raid selected in bios

machine gives these errors on boot u

3 containers found
0,1,2

#o mirror 4.gig critical----what does this mean?


#1 mirror 4.7 gig critical

#3 16 gig

machine then goes on to boot


what is a container?

and any idea what level raid i am at--




there are 2 hard drives in machine and planning to fill all the bays


when i go into windows 2000 mu computer

i see local disk c: 2.56 gigs

new volumn e: 4.4 gig

and local disk f: 2 gig


i am assuming that what i am seeing are the partitions on my drives --have not checked them yet


any info and direction really is appreciated and am looking forward to doing my homework
