Can you share the part number of the SAS 6/i card you have on the server? Did you have latest BIOS and SAS FW installed on the server?

Hello @bigoofno,

Based on the part number that you have given, K883J is a H700. This part is compatible with R410. Could it be that the wrong driver is being used, and causing some issues with your drive utilization?

part number is a 5 digit alphanumeric number. CNXW is not a valid part number. Can you share complete serial number as you given for other card or can you share the picture of the card.

k883j is PERC H700 controller. I believe you have H700 controller connected on the server.

Bigoofno,

That appears to be the serial number, not part number. Would you be able to provide a pic of the card in question? Just curious.

The card in the image is an H700A (part K883J), as discussed previously. Do you have an image of the CNXW card you discussed, as I see nothing on this one referencing the details you provided.

Ahhhh, the reason we had issues identifying it was that the part number is CNXVV, not CNXW, so there are 2 V's at the end. Based on CNXVV that card is a H700i. Now the difference between the two H700 cards is that the H700A (K883J) is meant for the standard PCI ports, where the H700i (CNXVV) is intended for the dedicated Integrated Storage slot on the riser.

Let me know if this helps.

Hello @bigoofno,

Probably there is a misunderstanding on hardware installation. If a H700 card is installed, the system will show H700 BIOS and configuration in the server. Same with H310 and also SAS6iR. We will not expect if a H700 or H310 installed and SAS6iR BIOS will appear. Perhaps you may need to source a SAS6iR card, here is the DPN# HM030.

Also, mentioning about 100% utilization, do you have a screenshot of it? As of my previous reply, it could be the RAID controller driver that you are using might be incorrect.
