Hello,

Here are the commands to reset the iDRAC.  Allow several minutes for the iDRAC to initialize before reconnecting.

Racadm racreset  (soft Reset)

Racadm racresetcfg  (Hard Reset - Resets IP/Account settings back to factory default)

Default IP > 192.168.0.120

Please let us know if you need any further info and we'll be glad to help.

Here is a helpful Linux repository page for installing OMSA 6.4. http://linux.dell.com/repo/hardware/latest/

Please review the wiki page ( http://linux.dell.com/wiki/index.php/Repository/OMSAfor additional info.

Alternatively you may also hold the i button on the LCD for 16 seconds until the iDRAC does a soft reset. This will not affect the server and only reboots the the iDRAC. It will take several minutes for the iDRAC to initialize before allowing you to reconnect.

What firmware version is the idrac7? There are bad FW versions that will cause your initial issue again.
