Error Message: Manufacturer-supplied hardware support disk
Hi,
I have a PowerEdge 4300 Dell Server which was totally wiped out. I need to bring it back on as a test server. However, when I am trying to install Microsoft Windows NT server, at some point it is asking for the
'Error Message: Manufacturer-supplied hardware support disk'. I believe the disk is lost. What is the best way
to download the contents of this disk for the above Model. Thanks in advance.

If you have a raid controller in the server, you will need to load a driver. When the server starts up you will see a line of text that says something like "Dell Poweredge Expandable Raid Controller.2Si...Bios or Frmw version 2.1-3". Note the model name of the PERC controller and the firmware version. When loading Windows NT you will need to provide a driver version that matches the firmware version on the controller. Download the driver file, unzip it to a floppy disk, boot to the windows NT disk, and start tapping the F6 key when the server starts accessing the NT disk. When prompted, put the floppy disk with the PERC driver in drive A.
