Hardware Malfunction PowerEdge 2550
Does anyone have any ideas of this Issue and how to resolve.
What happened so far, rebuilt with W2k Adv, all windows updated patched, all bios, firmware updated, even Broadcom firware v1.12
get intermittent Blue Screen messages every so often reboots

NMI: Parity Check / Memory Parity Error
*** The system has halted ***
looked at dell support, said to do with Broadcom. IS THERE A NEW FIRMWARE NEWER THEN V1.12?
Have done Dell Diagnostics, output from dell diagnostics

Ensure you have the latest firmware installed before going any further.

Update both ESM and System Bios and see how you go,
I read somewhere about false reporting with some firmware levels.

Thanks Barhampa,
have redownloaded your links and reflashed the upgrades, just in case , but no difference. :smileysad:
smb - ver 5.50
back plane v 1.30
Broadcom v1.12
Raid controller v2.80
bios vA09
Thanks.

The first error appears to be memory related which could be the ROMB memory or main storage.
The second message is to do with the service processor detecting an error with the backplane.
Try downloading DSET and installing then create a report freom that.
It should give you a clearer picture.
Also make sure that all the power cables are plugged in correctly to the system board.
The power problem reported may be an old problem that is still retained.
Reset your ESM logs then run the tests again.
