Poweredge R7515 Fans running high
I've got a Dell R7515 and the fans are driving me crazy.
On idle Fan 1 sits at 60%(9960), 2-6 at 64% (10920 rpm)

| System Board Inlet Temp | 28 °C (82.4 °F) |
I have the 24bay chassis with 8nvme slots.
Samsung 3.84TB PM983
Dell 480gb Sata ssd
5 consumer SATA drives.
QLogic NetXtreme II BCM57810 10G ethernet PCIE card
BIOS: 2.2.4
iDRAC Firmware Version 5.00.00.00
I'm using it as my homelab, and it's not only using a ton of power to spin those fans but it's really loud.
I've updated idrac, backplane and the bios. Running in soundcap mode with a 10% minimum.
Previously tried removing all the extra devices. The Samsung PM983 does increase the base speed by 10% as the idrac can't communicate with it.
Other than that tried support, who couldn't resolve the problem other than suggesting I remove all the additional hardware.
Wondering if anyone here can help. I'd really love to have more control over the fan speed / fan curve

These forums are monitored by Dell and I wanted to make sure you got responded to. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to suggest anything different to what the phone support tech would have been able to provide. However, we can certainly leave this up in the community, in case another user has any suggestions for you.
