R720 High Fan with GPU
I just recently got an R720. Its running proxmox with all of my LXD Containers, and VMs. I would like to put a GPU in it to pass-through to my windows workstation VM. With the GPU out of the server the fans run ~20% and are silent. When I put the GPU in the server the fans will not go below ~60% and are very loud. The GPU I am trying to use is a Quadro 4000 out of a Dell T5500. I am powering the GPU from the 8PIN connector that is on the riser card that came with the server. Is there any ways to get the fans to just monitor the temp and spin up if needed?
I have done some searching and found some IPMI raw codes, but they do not seem to work for me. BIOS and IDRAC are on the newest firmware from dells site.

There has got to be a way to correct this. There is no reason for the fans to spin at 75% with exhaust temps less then 40C.
