SC430 CPU Upgrade - Core 2 Duo?

I was wondering if anyone has tried to use a Core 2 CPU in the SC430? The VRM seems from physical inspection be compatible (it's identical to that of the SC440). The only problems I see are chipset support (the Intel E7250 might not 'like' it, although I don't think it'd complain as the microinstructions are the same) and the other problem is BIOS compatibility (CPU microcodes not being registered).

So has anyone had any success using say an E6400 or E6600 with the SC430?
