BSOD when trying to install a fresh copy of Windows SBS 2003 on PowerEdge T605.
All help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
I am trying to install a fresh copy of Windows SBS 2003 on a PowerEdge T605 server. Regardless of whether I start from the Dell build disk or boot straight to the Windows SBS disk, I get a BSOD when the process gets to "Windows is starting...". I have run hardware diags and found no problems. Any direction to a fix would be so helpful.

Are you using the original "build disk" that came with it? If so, download the latest version of SBUU or SMTD for the install, as many of the original disks did not have the onboard SATA controller (for the CD/DVD drive) integrated into the build utility ... an oops on Dell's part. If you don't use the build utility, you must load two storage drivers at F6 - one for the RAID controller and one for the onboard Broadcom SATA chipset controller. If you don't have a floppy drive, you can use nLiteOS.com.
Again, this is just a wild stab at what might be your problem, based on what I know about the T605. More specifics would be helpful.

It would help if you provided a little detail on the BSOD. Is it a 0x7B (controller driver issue) or something else?

You're still getting the BSOD after downloading and using the latest version of the OpenManage installation utility? What version are you trying?

Yes it is a 0x0000007B and I am still struggling with it.
BSOD Tech Info:
