PowerEdge R200 SAS 6/ir (JW063), 2008R2

Hi,

Please can someone help, I have purchased an R200 with a SAS 6/ir Controller (JW063), the server has two 250Gb Drives, which I have configured for RAID 0.

I am trying to install Server 2008r2, during the initial install I am asked to supply a Driver. I have been to the support site, and search for the Service Tag, but I am unable to determine which driver to choose, does any know where I can get a driver, please can someone help.

Thanks

Hi All,

Quick update, I now have what I think is the relevant inf (Dell SAS 6/iR Adapter Controller) and when I tick the box to Hide Drivers that are not compatible, and select next, I then receive, No new Devices could be found, make sure the driver files are correct.

I am as confused as a baboon.

Thanks for listening.

2008 R2 has native (built-in) drivers for the SAS 6/iR, so there is no need to add drivers. If it is ASKING for a media driver, your media is corrupt. If it says no hard drives are found and offers a Load Driver link, then there is a good chance your system firmware (including controller) is out of date.
