PowerEdge T100 RAID1 degraded

Hi, I have DELL PowerEdge T100 server with 2 Samsung hard drives in RAID1.

One of them doesn't work and I have now degraded RAID1.

What are my steps to replace failed disk with the new one (I have it already)?

See next pictures from OMSA to explain better what is going on.

Thanks :)

Igrog,

What you will need to do is remove the failed drive from the server and then wait about 30 seconds and then insert the replacement drive. The drive itself should rebuild automatically. If it fails to start the rebuild you can find REBUILD under the virtual disk drop down if the drive is showing Ready. You cn also assign the drive as a hotspare. You can find more on the processes via the manual found here - http://ftp.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_ser_stor_net/esuprt_dell_adapters/dell-sas-6ir-intgtd-and-adptr_User%27s%20Guide_en-us.pdf

You can find the information on page 46.

Let me know if this helps.
