Windows 2012 - Hyper-V Unde Unidentified Network with the option "Allow management operating system to share this network adapter" Enabled

Hello,

We have a PwerEdge R630 with Broadcom Netextreme Gigabit Ithernet adapter with 4 ports.

We have intstalled at the server Windows 2012 R3 and the role of Hyper-V.

I have connect the first NIC to the network (with real IP, No DHCP), and we have added the server at the domain.

The Host Server is taking IP Correct and all is good.

After this we try to create a Virtual Switch with the 2nd NIC, "External" and the option "Allow management operating system to share this network adapter" enabled.

With this option enabled, is created a virtual NIC at the host, where we don't give an ip (it is set at "Obtain an IP address Automatically).

We have created a VM, and we have installed at the VM Windows 2012 R2. We give at the VM settings, Network Adapter, the Virual Switch previously created.

When we are connect at the VM we give at the NIC a real IP of our Network, but the NIC is saying "Unidentified Network" and "No Internet Access".

The same "Unidentified Network" and "No Internet Access" we get at the Virtual NIC at the Host.

If we disable the option "Allow management operating system to share this network adapter" then the VM is getting IP correct and internet access.

Why we can't make it work with the option "Allow management operating system to share this network adapter"" enabled?

If we enable "Allow management operating system to share this network adapter"" and enable at the Virtual Swich the option "VLAN ID", then the VM get internet access. But if we give at the Host's Virtual NIC an IP , the vitual NIC doesn't have network and the VM loose its network again.

We have to enable "VLAN ID" with the option "Allow management operating system to share this network adapter" ?

Because in all tutorials we have seen untill now there is not enabled the "VLAN ID" with the "Allow management operating system to share this network adapter" option enabled.

Thank you.

Regards,
George
