Windows Server 2008 R2 32 on Dell R720
Hello,
Want to Install Windows Server 2008 R2 32 bit on Dell R720-E52660.
1. I dont have Windows ROK Media for the installation.
2.Will download an ISO image for 2008 R2 32 bit and burn to dvd.
3.I will install the OS using lifecycle controller but not sure it will work because media is not ROK.
I need all the possible ways to install the Windows Server 2008 R2 32 bit with windows drivers without ROK Media.
Im new to the dell server kindly advise.

Not going to happen. Windows Server 2008 R2 comes in 64-bit ONLY.
Assuming you made a mistake in your post and you either mean 2008 R2 (64-bit) or 2008 32-bit, then:
1. ROK media is not needed.
2. Ok.
3. Ok, but again, ROK media is not required.
You can use branded or non-branded OEM, ROK, Retail, or Volume License media. You can install using the following methods:
1. Lifecycle controller. Similar to SMTD below, using software built into the LCC hardware. Drivers will be installed during the process. This method may require minimum Service Pack levels to be supported.
2. SMTD. You will first boot to SMTD, select Install OS, follow the prompts, inserting media when prompted. Drivers will be installed during the process. This method may also require minimum Service Pack levels to be supported.
3. OS Media. Boot to the Windows media and install, loading RAID drivers during the install, then installing all other hardware drivers after installation is complete.

Not 2008 R2.
Here are the Windows versions:
2003 32-bit (NOT supported on the R720)
2003 64-bit (NOT supported on the R720)
2003 R2 32-bit (NOT supported on the R720)
2003 R2 64-bit (NOT supported on the R720)
2008 32-bit
2008 64-bit
2008 R2 64-bit
2012 64-bit
2012 R2 64-bit
Why do you want a 32-bit OS on the R720?

So is it confirmed that Windows Server 2008 32-bit is compatible and can be installed on Dell R720 servers?
At least for me, there is an integration to another server that requires a 32-bit connection.
