dell precision T5400

i have a dell t5400 and when i put the computer to sleep and turn it back on it for some reason dosent want to post anything on the monitor

specs 

dell precision t5400

2x 500gb hdds

2x E5440 processors 

nvidia nvs290 graphics card with (vga splitter)

I got sorted out all right turns out it was the monitor

Make sure BIOS and other system firmware and drivers (chipset and video in particular) are up to date.

What was the first? Please include all troubleshooting already performed when posting.

I changed a couple of settings in the bios

Then I changed some of the power settings

P. S it is a fresh install of windows 7 pro

No Events found!
