poweredge R510 support window server 2016???

Mudastix,

I am not seeing that 2016 is supported on the R510, as seen here. You could try it to see, but I don't believe it will work.

I've also installed Server 2016 on a r510 without trouble, but I can't find the correct video drivers. Were you able to get the correct video resolution working?

It is NOT supported configuration, but it works pretty well…

Upgrade RAM, put cheap SATA SSDs into SAS slots and enjoy second live of your hardware.

i have tried and failed to install the os. Consistently receiving modding drivers. 

im installing from iso from Microsoft. 

Specifically, windows 2016 server data center with desktop experience. 

had no trouble installing the same os on a r310 

but cant  get it done in the R510. Any helpful guidance/suggestions would be tremendously appreciated!!

I am trying to install Windows 2016 server data center w/ desktop experience and consistently failing in the install.

Receiving error message that a driver is missing.

Using a .iso from Microsoft.

Installing using iDrac6/i via virtual console to a DVD on another client.  The r510 will not recognize it's own internal DVD drive.

Any helpful hints/guidance re:  how you successfully installed the OS would be tremendously appreciated!
