PowerPath for Solaris pseudo names disappear upon re-mapping LUNs

Hi, All,

I've got a problem. When I re-mapping some new LUNs(Virtual Disk) in Navisphere Express, then rescan and so in Solaris, I got pseudo names disappear. How can recover or rebuild it ?

Hardware & Software Info:

  • 1*EMC AX4-5F8, dual SP, single SPS
  • 2*Solaris (SPARC), SunOS 5.10 (Solaris 10)
  • PowerPath: 5.3_b473
  • Veritas VxVM 5.0MP3RP4

below is PACSA powermt display dev=all and emcpadm print_mappings outputs:(PACSB without re-mapping luns, normal)

root@med_im # emcpadm print_mappings

...solved this problem :-)

  1. Remove four I/O Paths of one Pseudo device
    • # powermt remove dev=c2t500...s0
  2. Then configure again
    • # powermt config
  3. Done, all pseudo name rebuild and appear
    • # powermt display dev=all,
