Upgrading Powerpath 4.6.1 to 5.2 sw on MS Exch Clustered Hosts

Hello All

I have an Exchange cluster with 4 Nodes that I need to upgrade to Flare 26 in preparation for a Clarion Flare upgrade from 19 to 26.
I have done all the requisite updates on the standby node ie Powerpath, Navisphere Agents, Firmware, OS Patches etc.
Now when I failover the Luns to the updated Node they are seen as unknown in disk manager. It would seem there is some issue between the Emc Powerpath Client software or possibly it is a Microsoft Cluster issue. The simple fix is to downgrade the powerpath and navisphere agents back to the old Flare 19 level which is the same as the other nodes and then the failover works fine.
Has anyone seen this issue before ???

Regards Phil

Navisphere wouldn't cause that, but the PowerPath upgrade could. I have seen a few instances upgrading Windows hosts to 5.2 and the disks show as unkown in the PowerPath console. I stopped upgrading hosts to 5.2 because of this.

PowerPath 5.1.o is still a very stable and bug free version in my opinion. I would just stick with that version for now.

Hello Aran

I have dropped powerpath down to 5.1 but still have the same issue.
have also found that I cannot add a new resource within the cluster software as it appears to not detect any new disk that I have presented even though it is visible in explorer
