How to access to SMB File System Snapshot Access Type “Snapshot (Read-Only)”

From PowerStore Manager, create a new File Snapshot Access Type with “Snapshot (Read-Only)”. In this example, we have 2 Snapshot (Read-Only) created.

Access to SMB Share that is created from the file system. In this example, we will access to WIN_Share from the Windows client.

Access to the SMB share from the Windows client, right-click and select Properties

Navigate to "Previous Versions” tab to access the snapshot. Select the snapshot pointer and click Open to view the content in the snapshot.

Copy content from the snapshot to manually restore files to the share.

Or directly restore from the snapshot by select the snapshot pointer and click "Restore"

Once the folder had been successfully restored, we should be able to view the restored file in the SMB share.
