Dell Power Vault 132T - Tape Library and Tape Driver drivers for Windows Server 2008 R2
Hello,
I'm in search of drivers for the Dell Power Vault 132T for use with Windows Server 2008 R2 64bit.
OS: Windows Server 2008 R2 x64
Tape Library: Dell Power Vault 132T
Tape Drives: IBM Ultrium-TD3 SCSI Sequential Device
Need the following
- drivers for Tape Library (listed above)
- drivers for Tape Drives (listed above)
This link on Dell's site doesn't list the driver is for Windows Server 2008 - the latest it states is supported would be Windows Server 2003.
Does anyone know:
1) Where I can locate the appropriate drivers for Windows Server 2008 so I can connect the Dell PowerVault 132T?
2) IF the existing drivers (as per link above) would work with Windows Server 2008 R2 and the Dell Power Vault 132T tape library?

Hello BenchPr3ss,
The PV132T last drivers that were produced was for windows 2003. Here is a link to Quantum site & they make a unit that is very similar to the PV132T But there is called an Scalar 24, & even there drivers only go to w2k3. http://www.quantum.com/ServiceandSupport/SoftwareandDocumentationDownloads/S24/Index.aspx This unit went end of life over 5 years ago & since it went EOL none of the makers have made any new drivers. If you are going to want to use the PV132T then you will need to put it on a w2k3 server.
