If you have setup as I mentioned, then all you have to do is right install drive, make sure Array manager see it, right click on virtual disk you want to expand and select add disk.

i manage my san over one of the three connected servers. i put in the new disks into the san and started array manager. after a rescan i saw all disks (including the new ones).
when i expand the pv660f subsystem, i get the physical and logical array. i expand my logical array and get the array group 0 including three disk groups. every disk group has one virtual disk. when i now make a "right click" on the virtual disk i just get the choice of change policy, initialize, background initialize, consistency and properties but nothing else.
what did i do wrong ?

Also check with Dell support or see Array manager manual for "adding virtual disk".

"HOW ABOUT IF THIS IS PV650F BOX.. (with same scenario above)"
What is the proper procedure in expanding existing LUN (RAID5)in PV650F?
Many thanks.
