Configurating Dell Storage ME 5024 question
Dear All,
I'm new in Dell SAN Storage, we have recently purchased 2 x dell R650xs server to run esxi 7.0, and these 2 esxi servers has 2 FC card, which will connecting to storage ME 5024, just wonder if there is a storage manager tool to configure the storage ME 5024 (setup raid etc)? or its can be configured via web console ? as from the below tools its look like are use for firmware update, any help would be appreicated

Hello, DSM can be accessed through a web console or installed on a Windows server. As you mentioned you run ESXi 7.0 you can use the web client. https://dell.to/3JmuAkR

@Dell-ErmanO What do you mean by "DSM can be... installed on a Windows server..."? Where is the download for that please?

Hmm sorry, my mistake. I thought for a second that Dell Storage Manager(DSM) also can do it but I'm not sure it is used for the ME5 series.(most probably not) But you can use PowerVault manager for configurations. The former version MD series used MDSM(MD Storage Manager) but since the ME series they can management by web GUI. Please check these links

I checked that in the storage m5, there are 2 controller with ip 10.0.0.2 and 10.0.0.3 I can console access via web to do the setup, I think I will use this way, and for the other storage md1420 with backup server I would use OMSA to do the setup
