Connect MD1200 to a new MD array.
Good day everyone.
We currently have and md1200 connected to a MD3220i. The problem is the MD3220i warranty expires this year and dell does not allow to buy more warranty for this unit, the warranty for the md1200 unit will expire on 2020.
Both units are currently used for vmware iscsi storage in production enviroment, it is possible to connect the MD1200 to a brand new MD array or what would be the recommendation for our case.
Thanks in advance.

It can work at 1Gbps on them if they do not have 10Gb nics.

Hi,
Can you private message me the service tag so we can get some additional information?
Which model MD unit are you looking to replace the 3220i with?

Hello josh, when tried to send you PM I got this error: You have reached the limit for number of private messages that you can send for now. Please try again later.
We don't know wich would the best path to move, we think the MD3820i could be an option hoping we can make a transition from 1GB to 10GB iscsi. I asked the DELL salesman to support us suggesting the rigth equipment for our case.

Hello josh, on second try the PM message went without error.
Thanks for the answer, according the MD3820i manual it seems the MD1200 can be connected , it looks like all the data will be wiped out on the md1200.
Could the MD3820i work with existing hosts PE R710 that only has 1Gbps iscsi NICs, or would need to upgrade the nics on the host to 10Gbps too?
