Direct attach 8 servers to MD3600F
Help. I am trying to direct attach 8 Servers to a dual controller MD3600F. I have one Lun that I need all 8 servers to access. The servers on the first controller can access the lun without problems but the servers on the second controller can't. I cannot find any documentation on this but Dell does say the you can direct attach 8 servers to the MD3600F.

This will not be possible. The LUN is owned and accessible only by 1 controller at a time. So to allow more than 4 servers simultaneous access to a single LUN, you will need a switch.
Note: servers can only share LUN access if they have some kind of disk locking mechanism in place. For Windows this typically would be a cluster, but some operating systems (hypervisors) have cluster-aware filesystems like VMware's VMFS. Without such a mechanism, your data will corrupt.
