Expanding PowerVault 755N with external PowerVault 220S

Hi,

The product spec for the PowerVault 755N stated: "Scalable to 16.7TB with the addition of eight PowerVault 22xS Storage Arrays or up to 40TB when used in a NAS on SAN solution"

Does anyone know how this is actually achieved?  By daisy-chaining the PowerVault 220S ?   Adding more HBA (up to three PCI slots I think) and connect them directly to the PowerVault 220s ?

Thanks in advance.

2 PERC 2 /QC or 2 PERC 3 / QC.  1 220 per channel.

I don't recommend stripping between channels, but it can be done.

You can also add in a Qlogic 2340 HBA and attach it to a Dell EMC SAN, and then you are limited to how much storage space your SAN has.
