File system alignment on a MD3000 storage used for SQL Server Cluster

It's well documented the fact that the SQL Server installation performance should be improved by correctly aligning the disk volumes to certain offsets.
A 64 kb offset is a common value that works on many storage arrays and Microsoft claims that it has been used with success in the SQL Server test labs. However, Microsoft support suggests that ideally this offset should be supplied by th OEM of the particular disk array.

Is the 64 kb alignment the correct one for this configuration?

TIA,
Félix

An align of 64 or 128 would work well. Dell has a deployment guide for SQL 2005 on the MD3000 here
< ADMIN NOTE: Broken link has been removed from this post by Dell>  which will go into more detail.
