MD3000i...How are you presenting storage hard drives to VM based operating systems?

More specifically VMs running Windows 2003/2008 running on VMware 4.0.

Do you present the storage from VMware or do you install the MDSM "Host" software on the VM operating system and use the VM operating system's iSCSI initiator's?

I'm curious as to what you all are doing.

As ESX 4 can do loadbalancing between NICs (via round robin policy), I tend to recommend to just let ESX handle iSCSI. With ESX 3.x this wasn't the case; it would only do failover (round robin was marked as experimental, and not supported by any vendor), so if you wanted to use multiple NICs, and had enough NICs (I tend to recommend not to let VMs 'piggy back' the hypervisor's iSCSI dedicated NICs for the VM's own iSCSI connections).
