The dell provided doccument does state Dell will give you the password. :)
I believe supportDell is the password. And it is case sensetive.

You think it is still at default? Probably not if it has ever been configured. You need a password reset cable to reste the password. It's a funky serial looking cable.

Thanks for your reply however I have a serial cable and am having trouble with the Service Interface password. After I enter ctrl-Break and esc
I need the service interface password to get to the shell prompt.
