MD300i - ok to change a non-clustered virtual disk to clustered later on?
I have a virtual disk non-cluster for a single node w2k8 r2 server for hyper -v . The VM files reside on the non-cluster virtual disk. In a few months I plan to add a node and create a cluster. At that point I would create a cluster disk group, a witness disk, and expand the current virtual disk. Is this feasible? Thanks so much.

Hello,
By doing it the way you have laid out can present some challenges when you go to add the second node. What I would recommend is to create the Virtual Disks as a clustered virtual disk that way the VD’s are already seen as part of a cluster even though there is only one node in the cluster. Once you add the second node to the cluster it will add the storage without any issues. By doing it the way you have stated that you would like to will cause you to get a signature error when trying to join it to the cluster which can be fixed but it is a very involved process
